Dine In
Settle into our cosy space with a coffee and something delicious. Stay as long as you like.
Fresh coffee, homemade food, and a warm welcome — a much-loved mainstay of St Peter's Street for nearly thirty years.
A fresh chapter for a much-loved cafe — under new ownership since 2024.
Cafe Roma has been part of St Peter's Street since 1996, serving the St Albans community for nearly three decades. In 2024, Velina took over — bringing a decade of experience as a store manager at Costa, and a genuine passion for great coffee and warm hospitality.
Under her care, the cafe has a cosy atmosphere, genuinely warm service, and proper espresso — with fresh energy and small touches that make every visit feel considered. Whether you're stopping in on your walk to work or settling in for the afternoon, you're welcome to stay a while.
